Healthy Smiles Start Here
At Tooth Town Pediatric Dentistry, we believe caring for children’s teeth is about more than cleanings and checkups. It’s about helping kids feel comfortable, confident, and proud of their smiles, while helping parents feel informed, supported, and at ease.

Our practice was built around one simple idea: when prevention comes first and parents are true partners in care, kids stay healthier and dental visits become something families can feel good about.
We prioritize prevention so families stay ahead of cavities and avoid surprises.
We plan every visit with care so kids feel safe and parents feel heard.
We partner with you, guiding treatment when needed and celebrating healthy smiles.
OUR APPROACH
Prevention First. Partnership Always.
Our preference is prevention. By focusing on proactive care, education, and consistent routines, we help children maintain healthy smiles and often reduce the need for more involved treatment later.
When treatment is needed, we take the time to guide parents through their options. We explain what we’re seeing, why it matters, and what paths are available, so decisions never feel rushed or unclear. Our goal is not just to treat teeth, but to help families understand and feel confident in the care their child receives.

Meet Dr. Steve
Dr. Stephen "Steve" Ghezzi has spent more than 25 years helping children build healthy smiles and positive experiences at the dentist. As the founder of Tooth Town Pediatric Dentistry, his goal has always been simple: create a place where children feel comfortable, parents feel confident, and every family receives compassionate, exceptional care.
Originally from Ann Arbor, Dr. Steve moved to Winter Park, Florida as a teenager before earning his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida. After shadowing his family dentist, he discovered a passion for dentistry that would shape the rest of his career. He returned to Ann Arbor to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2000.
Following dental school, Dr. Steve completed a two-year General Practice Residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he gained advanced experience treating medically complex patients. His passion for caring for children, especially those with special healthcare needs, led him to complete a Pediatric Dentistry Residency at Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. There, he received extensive hospital-based training in caring for infants, children, adolescents, and patients with autism, sensory sensitivities, and other special healthcare needs.
Today, Dr. Steve brings more than 26 years of clinical experience to Tooth Town Pediatric Dentistry. His calm, relaxed personality, sense of humor, and down-to-earth approach help children feel at ease, even during their very first visit. He believes every child should leave the office smiling and looking forward to coming back.
Dr. Steve is passionate about building lasting relationships with the families he serves. In fact, one of his favorite parts of practicing is remembering the names of nearly every child who walks through Tooth Town's doors, even years after they've graduated from the practice. He believes great pediatric dentistry is a partnership between parents, children, and the dental team, and that healthy smiles can have a lifelong impact on a child's confidence and self-esteem.
His commitment to children's oral health extends well beyond the practice. Dr. Steve currently serves as President of the Michigan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is active in organizations and events that support children and families throughout the community. He is proud to support programs such as Blessings in a Backpack, local festivals including Pumpkinfest and the South Lyon Kite Festival, and the schools his own children have attended.
